Nearly 1/2 mile of road in the Susitna Valley was upgraded to local borough standards with the use of a grader, loader, excavator and other small equipment. Work included the placement, grading and compaction of over two feet of suitable road base material and the installation of several culverts and driveways.

Tanana Environmental Clean-up
Mobilized equipment, man power and supplies with the use of river barges and aircraft. Our scope of work involved asbestos abatement and demolition of the former FAA Flight Service Station, the decomissioning and removal of a 1,000 gal. UST and the treatment of 1,395 yards of petroleum contaminated soil. Ridge coordinated with the City of Tanana and the local fire department to safely burn all burnable demolition debris generated from the FSS building and reduce the waste stream out of this remote village.

Fairbanks Sewer Treatment Plant Demolition
Within a short time frame Ridge Contracting utilized several pieces of heavy equipment to demolish the former Fairbanks North Star Borough Sewer Treatment Plant and the infrastructure surrounding it. The large concrete building, asphalt, and underground utilities were safely removed from the site and disposed of at nearby facilities. Ridge then fully restored the site by bringing in backfill material, grading the site and planting seed for future use by the citizens of Fairbanks. Ridge utilized all local labor and equipment.

Unalakleet Civil Services Contract
This was a large environmental cleanup project that was part of the Governments Total Environmental Recovery Contract (TERC). Ridge utilized local labor to complete this project. The major tasks included excavation and bagging of over 1600 yards of contaminated soil and the reconnaissance and recovery of waste oil drums. These drums were scattered throughout the area and were accessible only with the use of landing craft and all terrain vehicles.

Potato Point Demolition
This project involved mobilizing by landing craft out of Valdez. Once on site Ridge demolished two 18,000 gallon AST's and a 500 gallon UST. A communication tower was also dismantled and all debris was transported to Valdez for disposal.

Anchorage Residential Remodel
Demolition and remodel of residential home in South Anchorage. This project required all trades needed to turn a triplex with a two car garage into a 4,000 sq.ft. single family home with a four car garage. Ridge employees performed all of the demolition work and installed the concrete footings and slab, radiant floor heating system, hard wood and slate flooring, dry wall, trim work, new multi-level stair case, electrical, plumbing and all site work. Landscaping consisted of new rock retaining wall, concrete stem wall, fencing, topsoil placement, seeding for new grass, new trees and pavement.

Legislative Building Remodel
Commercial Building remodel of six floors of office space in downtown Anchorage. This work involved steel framing, insulation, painting, drywall, door and window install, finish work and extensive coordination with subcontractors.

Denali Park Bathroom Installation
Custom built two log cabin style restrooms for our client. Tasks involved the placement of septic tank, concrete, hand peeled logs, sod roofs, interior finishes and site grading.

Site work and excavation, removal and decommission of an underground storage tank.
Glenallen
Multiple projects consisting of utility installation, building pad preparation, UST removal, and sign installation in Glenallen and surrounding areas.

UST excavation, removal and site work.
Ft. Wainwright
This project goal was to upgrade and existing steam line withing a buried utilidor on the military base. RCI's role on the team was to provide all civil components to excavate, remove lids, place lids, and backfill the existing utilidor. With challenges like extreme abnormal flooding, pedestrian traffic, tight quarters for new excavations, and maintaining a tight schedule with many contractors and trades; we finished our work on time, within budget and accident free.

Northern Region Traffic Data Equipment
RCI worked closely with ADOT at 4 different locations between Anchorage, Glennallen and Fairbanks. This project consisted of closing a travel lane, removing existing asphalt, sub-base, and data system, placing new traffic equipment, and new asphalt and striping. New CBA2 cabinets, piezos, and loops were installed along with j-boxes and conduits. Challenges included working at multiple sites across 400 miles of the State, keeping traffic moving through the sites, and working between day and night shift operations.

Ft. Richardson
RCI was contracted to excavate, transport, and stockpile approximately 5,000 yards of contaminated soil. Several stockpiles were constructed and secured per ADEC requirements. A chain links fence was erected around the stockpiles for safety.
North Harbor Waterline Replacement
RCI contracted with the City of Valdez to install 2", 6", and 12" HDPE waterline including hydrants and other associated work.
